Mamaloons · Waterford, Maine
I grew up creating art in my mother's painting-turned pottery studio in the Monadnock Region of New Hampshire. While completing my bachelor's and master's degrees in music at McGill University in Montreal, I took on freelance work as a graphic designer for a number of years and continued to draw as well on the side.
I worked professionally as a luthier just after the pandemic, and this cultivated my love of woodworking. Since moving to Maine in 2023, I started making furniture with reclaimed or highly figured hardwood out of my father-in-law's workshop. Recently, I started making stained glass pieces as well out of my living room.
I create stained glass and handcrafted woodworking inspired by time spent outdoors—exploring Maine, camping, hiking, fishing, swimming, and the nostalgia of classic Americana. Mamaloons is inspired by the places that make us slow down, explore, and appreciate the view.
