I create stained glass and handcrafted woodworking inspired by time spent outdoors—exploring Maine, camping, hiking, climbing, fishing, swimming, and experiencing the nostalgia of classic Americana. I am drawn to wildlife and the small discoveries that come from being outside in New England, whether it is a sunflower growing in a backyard or a coyote skull found along a hiking trail. I translate these experiences into objects that feel familiar, tangible, and connected to the places that inspire them.

In a world where so much of our attention is captured by screens, I want my work to offer a reminder that there is a beautiful world beyond them, always waiting to be explored. I think about each piece in relation to the space it will inhabit, especially the way stained glass sits within a window and interacts with the landscape, light, and world on the other side. Rather than simply depicting nature, I want the work to become part of the experience of looking outward.

I currently make stained glass in my living room, where my windows look out onto the apple trees in our backyard. I do my woodworking at my father-in-law’s workshop along the shores of Lake Pennesseewassee. These environments naturally become part of my process, keeping the work closely connected to the places, materials, and experiences that shape it.
